Peptides

Peptides are a complex, yet beneficial ingredient to the cosmeceutical industry.  A variety of peptides are used throughout our formulations to perform different responses in the skin.  Signaling peptides such as Matrixyl synthe 6, Matrixyl 3000, Haloxyl and others will signal the skin to increase the production in collagen and elastin synthesis, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. 

Neuropeptides, commonly referred to as the “Botox” peptide, will help reduce muscle contractions, especially around expression lines.  Syn-Ake, Eyeseryl and Snap-8 are just a few of the neuropeptides you will find in our formulations. 

The final category of peptides you will see in our formulations are the rejuvenating peptides.  These peptides may be designed to perform a variety of tasks including antioxidant and anti-inflammatory support, healing and increasing cellular turnover.  Eyeliss and Chronocyclin are just a couple of examples of peptides that help increase lymphatic circulation and optimize skin physiological activites.

Pyruvic Acid

This is an important ingredient for the skin cells when it comes to the development of cellular energy.  Metabolism begins to decline with age. This causes the cells to perform with less energy to carry out their normal, daily functions, let alone any additional functions we are asking the skin to do. 

If we are signaling the skin to produce more collagen and elastin, but it does not have the energy to do it, will we see a decrease in fine lines and wrinkles?  Most likely, no.  By adding pyruvic acid to formulations like Mandelic Arginine Serum, we are able to increase the cellular energy and help the cells perform more optimally thereby decreasing the impacts of aging. 

Mimosa Bark

This intelligent ingredient helps guide us down the path towards the Fountain of Youth!  Mimosa Bark reduces skin fatigue and weakened collagen fibers due to glycation.  It also helps improve cellular respiration, increasing energy and reducing the impacts of glycation which are demonstrated in the skin through an increase in fine lines, wrinkles, loss of firmness and dull skin.
